Eolos' Features

The current version of Eolos provides the following:

1. Radar projection of plots and tracks from primary and secondary radar systems as well as simulated plots or tracks.

2. Projection methods include: Mercator Conformal, Mercator Transverse, Lambert equal area, Stereographic, Ortho-quadrangular

3. Background map data include coastlines, islands and political borders provided by any map database available.

4. Map elements include: Airways and airway codes, Navigation aids(VOR, DME, Reporting points,TACAN,NDB)

5. Total colour editing and selections for all map elements.

6. Output message history dialog box. Fully adjustable log system for error or other user messages.

7. Compatibility with virtually any known radar protocol (documentation may be required)

8. Radar protocol data checking. Error messages exist for wrong message keys or identifiers, unknown data items according to User Application Profiles etc.

9. Primary and Secondary recording capability in any media supported by today's PCs.

10. Connection through PC serial port (with or without the Eolos hardware converters), USB to serial port adaptor, modem dial-up connection and leased line. Version 4 can also perform local LAN connections thought the Eolos Server or even through the Internet.

11. Minimum distance safety alarms for all aircraft. Both visual and acoustic alert.

12. Simple to use User Interface.

13. Fully adjustable range rings projection.

14. Aircraft route plotting from recorded data.

15. Printing of radar picture or aircraft routes.

Additional features can be added or extracted if needed.
