Eolos uses state of the art, 24/7 operation hardware. Depending on the installation type, different hardware configuration levels cover user application requirements from simple systems to full-featured
industrial graded hardware. Contact us for further details.
Sync to Asynch Hardware:
Synchronous communications is what is used in radar systems to exchange
data. This is very common in applications where great reliability is
needed.
Synchronous communications are used also in aircraft black boxes (for downloading
data), medical instruments etc.
Synchronous to asynchronous hardare convertes can be used by Eolos.
Eolos was first used in Thessaloniki International airport Macedonia with the use of a simple RS232 synchronous to
asynchronous converter.
External conversion makes it easy to install and also doesn't require any software support (drivers etc.) The version used at the airport supports sync speeds of
9600bps. More advanced versions are now used for asynchronous speeds up to 115Kbps.
All data input devices for Eolos support one way communications only, thus protecting the radar data
source from receiving any harmful data.
Radar Data Dirstribution
In order to be able to provide multiple radar images to remote
locations we use devices to extend both the number of receiver systems
and their distance from the data source. Click on the image below for a
full size schematic of how this works.
